The Department of Ophthalmology has an active research program
integrating clinical and basic science approaches to improve the visual health of Canadians. Major
research themes include genetics, tele-ophthalmology, clinical trials and ocular physiology, all
of which seek to translate research advances directly into improved clinical practice.
