Regional Eye Centre

In April 1996, the Regional Eye Centre opened its doors on the main floor of the Royal Alexandra Hospital. This 40,000 square foot self contained centre is the major ophthalmology resource for Northern Alberta and the Northwest Territories. It also offers eye care to patients across Western Canada. All aspects of adult ophthalmology are concentrated at the Regional Eye Centre. The Regional Eye Centre:

• supports medical and surgical subspecialties for primary eye care, consultations and trauma
• coordinates the delivery of eye care for Northern Alberta, northeastern British Columbia, Yukon Territory, Northwest Territories and northwestern Saskatchewan
• enhances education and research programs
